Rolland-Warner Parents and Students:
We are off to a great start to the 2013-2014 school year. We have several new faces and programs this year at RW. See below for some new additions:
· new Dean of Students, Mrs. Karen Hoyt [email protected]
· new Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, Mr. Ryan West [email protected]
· new Year-Round Program that houses 107 students, grades 6-8 which began on July 31st
· new AM intervention opportunities with transportation for both MATH and LITERACY
· new AM opportunities for ADVANCEMENT in math and English at the high schools (includes transportation)
· new Springboard curriculum for some of our ELA students, grades 6-8
We are excited to welcome all of our new families to Rolland-Warner, those coming into 6th grade, those entering the Year-Round program from different places, and of course all of our new enrollees.
Please join us on Tuesday, September 10th from 5:00-6:30pm for our annual Curriculum Night where you can come in to meet your child’s teachers and learn about his/her classes. We will begin promptly at 5:00 with 12 minutes in each class, rotating through your child’s schedule. Please bring a copy of your child’s schedule with you that evening so that you know where to go. You can obtain this by logging into Powerschool and printing the Quarter #1 class schedule. Feel free to contact the main office if you have questions 810.538.2334.
