To our Parents, Families, and Students:

We are excited to roll out a new educational model for the 2014-15 school year that will allow our alternative students access to a more wide variety of options.  These options will allow our students, with guidance from family and the school, to create an educational plan that is tailored to his or her individual needs.   Among these options is an innovative new route to a Lapeer Schools diploma through a partnership with Ombudsman Educational Services.  This new program comes alongside a host of other options that include our existing Edtech programs, virtual coursework, and our college on campus program.  Beyond these programs, students will also have full access to courses offered to our traditional high school students and may take advantage of shuttles throughout the day to move between campuses as needed.

We would like to invite you to a Parent and Student Information Night on Thursday, June 26th, 2014 at 6:30PM in the Lapeer West Media Center to further explain this model and answer any questions that you may have.  Please feel free to spread the word to any other friends and family that might be interested in learning more.  All are welcome.

We hope to see you then!

 Sincerely,

 Matthew Olson, Principal
