Matt Wandrie, Superintendent of Schools

Matt Wandrie came to Lapeer in the summer of 2011 from the Dearborn Public Schools, where he served as the director of human resources. His career in education also includes work as a high school teacher, athletic coach, assistant principal, athletic director and principal. Wandrie and his wife Christie live in Oxford with their three school-aged children: Thomas, Jack, and Anna.

Kevin Rose, Assistant Superintendent – Business, Finance and Operations

Kevin Rose has served as Assistant Superintendent of Business, Finance and Operations at Lapeer Community schools for eight years and served in similar school positions for 16 years prior to coming to Lapeer. He is a CPA, a certified Chief Business Official and has an extensive background in school finance, personnel management and school operations. Kevin and his wife Cheryl have 2 grown children and live in Milford.

Kim Seifferly, Executive Director of Human Resources

Kim was appointed to her current position in the summer of 2012. She was the District’s Curriculum Director for five years prior to replacing longtime Human Resources Director Craig Gerard. She lives in Metamora with her husband JK and two children, Jackson and Addison.

Ron Reed, Executive Director of Secondary Education

Ron was appointed to his position in July of 2012. He lives with his wife, Sarah, and his three children, Calvin, Parker and Vivian, in Milan.

Prior to this role, he served as a high school principal for 10 years, including two years at Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights and eight years at Milan High School. While principal, he served as president of the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). He is also on the board of Michigan's ACT Council. Prior to the principalship, he served as an assistant principal in Jackson Northwest School District. He taught for five years, including four years at Charlotte High School and one year at Shepherd High School in English and journalism, as well as serving as a coach for more than ten years.

Heather Vance, Executive Director of Elementary Education

Heather was appointed to her current position in the summer of 2012 after serving as Mayfield Elementary’s principal for several years. She grew up in Frankenmuth and now lives with her husband, Mark, and daughters Olivia and Emmaline in Swartz Creek.

Jennifer Tindall, Director of Special Education

  Jennifer was appointed to her current position in the fall of 2013 after serving 13 years in the Port Huron School District.  While with Port Huron she taught elementary special education, then she took on the role of Special Education Supervisor for Elementary Education and eventually took on the secondary special education duties.  Her last three years in the district she was the Director of Exceptional Children, Pupil Accounting, Early Childhood and Student Records.   Currently, Jennifer lives in Fort Gratiot with her husband David and their two dogs.

Jared came to Lapeer in the summer of 2011 after spending several years working in print journalism, new media and public relations. He grew up in Flint and remains in the city with his wife, Angie, and their puppy, Scout.
